Foxboro, MA (SportsNetwork. Everson Griffen Jersey .com) - On the scoreboard as well as the stat sheet, Tom Brady got the best of Peyton Manning once again. With Brady tossing four touchdown passes and his New England teammates coming up with two pivotal interceptions of Manning, the Patriots continued their midseason roll with a 43-21 blowout of the Denver Broncos in matchup of AFC powerhouses. This highly anticipated showdown between last seasons conference title game participants turned out to be not much of a contest at all, thanks to Bradys precision passing and a number of miscues from the reigning AFC champion Broncos. In addition to Mannings two picks that were both converted into New England touchdowns, Denver (6-2) committed 10 penalties, gave up an 84-yard punt return to Julian Edelman and was stopped four times on fourth down to have a four-game win streak come to an end. Well, I dont usually stink, but I stunk today, Manning said. Those errors were most costly during a second quarter in which the Patriots put up 24 unanswered points to build a commanding 27-7 halftime lead. Brady, now 11-5 all-time in head-to-head meetings with Manning, did his part by completing 33-of-53 attempts for 333 yards with one interception. Rob Gronkowski caught nine passes for 105 yards and one of Bradys scoring strikes, with Edelman adding nine receptions totaling 89 yards with a touchdown along with his huge punt return. He has always set a real high bar for how to play and I have tried to do the same through my efforts with my team, Brady said of Manning. New England (7-2) has averaged 40.2 points in ripping off five straight victories since a 41-14 loss at Kansas City in Week 4. Manning did put up 438 passing yards and two touchdowns on a 34-of-57 completion rate, but endured a mostly frustrating afternoon as the Patriots dominated the final three quarters. Emmanuel Sanders finished with 151 yards on 10 catches and Ronnie Hillman scored a pair of touchdowns for Denver. Demaryius Thomas compiled 127 yards on seven grabs in the loss. Denver owned a 7-6 edge early in the second quarter before a litany of mistakes snowballed into 21 consecutive New England points prior to the conclusion of the period. The first was committed by Manning, who failed to see Rob Ninkovich dropping into coverage and had his pass picked off by the linebacker and returned 11 yards to the Broncos 34. Consecutive catches by Edelman and Gronkowski then preceded Bradys 5-yard dart that Edelman hauled in with a diving grab in the end zone to put New England ahead with 11:41 left in the first half. Denvers next drive stalled and resulted in a punt that Edelman corralled at his own 16-yard line, broke free down the right sideline and cut across the field to the left around the Broncos 30 to avoid his remaining pursuers and give the Patriots a sudden 20-7 advantage. Manning responded with three completions to Sanders, the last gaining 25 yards to the New England 23, but misfired on his next three throws and Brandon McManus 41-yard field goal try clanged off the right upright and was no good. The Broncos got down to the Patriots 34 on their subsequent possession, which ended in Akeem Ayers sacking Manning for a 9-yard loss on fourth down just before the two-minute warning. Brady capitalized on the good field position, hitting a wide-open Edelman for 26 yards and Shane Vereen on a screen for 18 to bring New England to the 5- yard line with under a minute to go in the half. Three plays later, he avoided a rush and fired over the middle to Vereen in the end zone with just eight seconds on the clock, putting Denver in a 27-7 hole at intermission. Brady was intercepted by Bradley Roby near midfield on the first Patriots drive of the second half, with Manning taking advantage this time. He found Thomas for 27 yards before perfectly dropping in an 18-yard touchdown pass to Julius Thomas that gave the Broncos a needed spark. The momentum was short-lived, however. Brady got New England in range for Stephen Gostkowski to knock through a 45-yard field goal on the ensuing series, and Mannings next attempt bounced off the chest of ex-Patriot Wes Welker and was picked off by Brandon Browner. On the very next snap after Browners 30-yard runback, Brandon LaFell beat Roby on a slant route and snared Bradys 10-yard delivery to stake New England to a 37-14 advantage midway through the third quarter. Denver needed just four plays to answer, with Hillman capping a 72-yard trek with a 15-yard catch-and-run touchdown that brought the Broncos back within two scores. The Broncos defense couldnt come up with the necessary stop, however, as New England converted three times on third down while embarking on a back-breaking 14-play, 80-yard drive that consumed nearly seven minutes. Gronkowski had a would-be 21-yard touchdown overturned when replays showed he was stopped just short of the goal line, but caught Bradys next pass on the second snap of the fourth quarter to increase the lead to 43-21. Denvers next three series all ended in fourth-down failures, the first coming on the Patriots 8-yard line when Jacob Tamme couldnt come down with a one- handed catch in the end zone. Neither of the two legendary quarterbacks got off to a particularly strong start, as both teams failed to generate a first down on their initial two drives. New England still managed to get on the board via a 49-yard Gostkowski field goal that was set up by a short Denver punt and a catch interference penalty. The Broncos then got untracked on their next possession, with Manning completing his first five passes on a 9-play, 80-yard sequence that ended in Hillmans 1-yard touchdown run with 3:54 left in the opening quarter. Brady countered by making good on five of his first six throws -- three of which went to Gronkowski -- in directing a 12-play jaunt that culminated in Gostkowskis 29-yard field goal less than a minute into the second quarter. Game Notes The game marked the first time in NFL history between starting quarterbacks with over 150 regular-season wins ... Manning has now lost in eight of his 10 career visits to New England ... The Patriots extended their regular-season home win streak to 14 straight games, which includes a 34-31 come-from-behind overtime triumph over the Broncos last November ... Manning set a new NFL record with his 14th straight regular-season game with at least two touchdown passes ... Edelmans punt return touchdown was the fourth of his career, breaking a Patriots franchise record he had shared with Troy Brown and Irving Fryar ... Welker had just three catches for 31 yards before exiting with a back injury sustained on Mannings second interception ... Bradys 300-yard effort was the 62nd of his career, tying Brett Favre for the fourth-most in league history. Xavier Rhodes Jersey .Johnny there, who knew he had that speed? teammate Tommy Wingels said.Scott and Matt Irwin were unlikely goal-scorers Tuesday night as the previously stingy San Jose Sharks finally sprung a leak or two, blowing a pair of three-goal leads before coming away with a 6-5 shootout victory over the Washington Capitals. Sharrif Floyd Jersey .K. Subban has picked the right time of the year to go on an offensive tear.BOSTON -- Rajon Rondo banked in a 3-pointer that broke a fourth-quarter tie. Or so it seemed. Two minutes after the point guard apparently gave the Celtics a 93-90 lead with 4:37 remaining, officials reviewed the shot at the next stoppage in play. They ruled that Rondo released the ball after the 24-second buzzer and disallowed the basket. Boston never led again and the Indiana Pacers won 102-97 on Saturday night, their fourth straight victory. "I love instant replay!" Indiana coach Frank Vogel said with a smile. "Just a big fan, always have been, except for the couple of times it went against us." Boston coach Brad Stevens figured the basket would be taken away once officials took another look. "That doesnt change how were going to play," he said. "Were just going to try to win the next possession and build from there." Those three points were critical in a game between the team with the NBAs best record and one with the fourth-worst mark in the Eastern Conference. "It let the pressure off them," Bostons Jared Sullinger said. "They were playing frantic when the score was (93-90). Then they took away that 3. We kind of let it slip away." Paul George scored 10 of the Pacers last 12 points as they won two nights after beating another of the NBAs worst teams. On Thursday night, the Pacers won 101-96 over the Milwaukee Bucks, who have the leagues worst record. George led the Pacers with 25 points, Evan Turner came off the bench to score 17 and Lance Stephenson scored 16. Indiana won its fourth straight game and eighth in its last 11. "I missed too many easy shots (early) and I told myself when it comes back around that I have to make my shots," George said. "So I just locked in my focus and my teammates found me." Jeff Green had 27 points and Kris Humphries scored 18 as the Celtics lost for the sixth time in seven games. "We kind of got it going in the third (quarter)," Humphries said. "(It) kind of took our wind out of the sails when that 3 didnt count. (I) kind of wish theyd review it right away. Jerick McKinnon Jersey. " Rondos shot was followed by two free throws and a reverse layup by George that put Indiana ahead 94-93. Then the reversal changed the score to 94-90 with 2:38 remaining. Sullingers two free throws made it 94-92 before Georges layup restored the Pacers four-point lead. Boston cut that to 96-94 on two free throws by Brandon Bass with 1:31 remaining, but George followed with a 3-pointer, making it 99-94. Indiana increased the lead to 102-94 on two free throws by Stephenson and one by George before Green finished the scoring with a three-point play. The Celtics scored nine of the last 11 points of the third quarter and took a 78-76 lead at the buzzer when Humphries dunked after rebounding a missed shot by Sullinger. Trailing 74-69, Humphries began the comeback with a 3-pointer on a layup and a free throw. Green and Humphries made jumpers, giving Boston a 76-74 lead with 3:28 left in the period. David West then tied the game with a foul-line jumper before Humphries quarter-ending dunk. Indiana used an eight-point run to take a 51-41 lead with three minutes left in the second quarter. Luis Scola started the surge with a 13-footer, Turner followed with two jumpers and Roy Hibbert hit two free throws. "Evan Turner gave us a big lift throughout the whole game," Vogel said, "but, in particular, down the stretch." The Pacers led 55-45 before Chris Johnsons 3-pointer cut the lead to 55-48 at halftime. The Celtics had a chance to draw closer, but Hibbert blocked Rondos shot with 29 seconds remaining. NOTES: Pacers guard George Hill missed the game after bruising his left shoulder when he fell in Thursday nights game. ... Celtics G Chris Babb played his first game after signing a 10-day contract. ... Celtics swingman Gerald Wallace will miss the rest of the season with knee and ankle injuries. ... Indiana returns home to face Utah on Sunday night. Boston is off until Wednesday night when it hosts Golden State. ... Buck Showalter said Tuesday that Davis told him he was given a theraputic-use exemption for the medication, according to the teams official website. MLB suspended Davis in September for 25 games after he tested positive for an amphetamine. Davis said he took Adderall by mistake after legally using in the past. MLB does not comment on individual players theraputic-use exemptions. CALGARY - The Calgary Flames recalled left winger Ben Hanowski from the Abbotsford Heat of the American Hockey League on Thursday. Javorius Allen Jersey . Hanowski has 12 goals and 14 assists for 26 points with Abbotsford in his first full season as a professional. Hanowski played five games with Calgary last season after completing his senior season at St. Cloud State, and scored his first NHL goal in his first game with the Flames. He was originally drafted by Pittsburgh in the third round of the 2009 NHL Draft. Bronson Kaufusi Jersey . Solomon Elimimian did not make the trip with the team after suffering what appeared to be a right leg injury in the teams regular season finale against the Calgary Stampeders. C.J. Mosley Jersey . -- Phil Mickelson came to the St.ST. LOUIS -- Another banner season for New Mexico has been tarnished by an early NCAA exit. The Lobos got a big game from Cameron Bairstow but never quite dug out of an early 16-point deficit, losing 58-53 to Stanford in the second round on Friday. "Not a lot of fun," first-year coach Craig Neal said. "Weve been here before." Chasson Randle scored 23 points and No. 10 seed Stanford made an impression in its first NCAA appearance since 2008, leading almost start to finish against the seventh-seeded Lobos. The Cardinal (22-12) held on after New Mexico rallied to tie it midway through the second half. They got four crucial free throws from reserve Robbie Lemons and Randle in the final half-minute after New Mexico had cut the deficit to two points. Stanford plays the Eastern Kentucky-Kansas winner on Sunday in the third round of the South Regional. New Mexico is headed home without taking care of "unfinished business," the schools unofficial theme this season. "Yeah, I think it was something more for the fans, that tag," Bairstow said. "I think we as a team had of course expectations of post-season success, especially after last year. "Unfortunately, we couldnt get it done." Bairstow had 24 points and eight rebounds but the Lobos (27-7) got off-days from their other top threats. Kendall Williams and Alex Kirk, who together average 30 points, combined for just six. New Mexico has been one and done the last two seasons, losing as the No. 3 seed to Harvard last year under coach Steve Alford. This season they became the first school in Mountain West Conferrence history to win the regular season and conference tournament in consecutive seasons. Joe Flacco Jersey. "Weve done about everything you can do," Neal said. "Its just getting better in the tournament. I just wanted to get these guys back and have another chance, it just didnt work out for us this time." Except for winning Friday, Neal said he wouldnt have changed a thing. "Just really proud about what they did and really happy for their careers," Neal said. "I just wish it would have ended a little better way." Long-range shooting was a key, with Stanford going 8 for 15 -- including 3 for 3 by Anthony Brown -- and New Mexico going just 4 for 21. "They made a lot of shots, they made a lot of plays," Williams said. "And then you look at your stat line and you go 1 for 9. "We just didnt make enough plays." Stanford got away with an off-day from Dwight Powell, who missed all eight shots, fouled out and scored three points. Powell averages 14.2 points, second on the team. Brown added 10 points and seven rebounds for the Cardinal and Stefan Nastic had 10 points and five rebounds. Stanford hit eight of its first 10 shots and scored 17 straight points, including six from Randle, for a 20-4 lead with 13:23 to go in the first half. New Mexico went 6:26 between points and more than 7 minutes between baskets before gaining its footing. The Lobos kept feeding it to Bairstow and ended the half on an 8-0 run that cut the deficit to 32-27. They tied it at 45 near the mid-point of the second half before going scoreless for nearly 7 minutes. Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Jerseys ChinaCheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

HOUSTON -- Collin McHugh has earned his spot in the Astros rotation. Virgil van Dijk Jersey . McHugh allowed two hits over 8 2-3 stellar innings as the Houston Astros beat the Oakland Athletics 5-1 on Sunday. McHugh (2-0), who was recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City on April 22 to make a start after Scott Feldman had been placed on the disabled list, followed up his first outing where he struck out 12 and allowed three hits in 6 2-3 innings at Seattle on Tuesday with another dominant performance. "When we sent him out there in the ninth it was with the complete hope that he was going to be able to finish what he started," Houston manager Bo Porter said. "That was tremendous. Attacking the strike zone with all three of his pitches and to pitch that well against a really good hitting Oakland As lineup speaks volumes to Collin and the way he and (Carlos) Corporan worked today." McHugh struck out seven and walked three, allowing one run in the longest outing of his career. His previous longest outing had been seven innings on Aug. 23, 2012, against Colorado when he was a member of the New York Mets. "I actually wasnt even thinking about the hits," McHugh said. "I was more mad about the walks. I walked a couple guys early, and with this team, you cant really give them free base runners because anyone in that lineup can do damage to you. As I kind of got momentum, I started to roll with it, and it got easier to make pitches and kind of feel the flow and go with it." After the first, McHugh retired 23 of the next 24 batters, including 19 straight before Brandon Moss was hit by a pitch with two outs in the ninth. Moss stole second and came around to score on Alberto Callaspos single -- McHughs first run allowed in 15 1-3 innings this season. Porter said McHugh has "earned his keep". "I dont think he put us in a tough spot; I think he put himself in a really good spot," Porter said. "Performance pretty much speaks for itself. This guy has earned the right to get the ball the next turn." McHugh said he hadnt had a lot of consistent starts in his career, so to know he would get the ball again in five days felt nice. He became the first pitcher in Astros history go 6 2-3 innings or more while allowing one run or less with seven or more strikeouts in each of his first two starts as an Astro. Raul Valdes got the final out to complete the two hitter. Jed Lowrie, who singled in the first inning, drew a walk in the third for McHughs lone base runner until the ninth. "He had a great cutter early on and was a little bit harder with his stuff early on," Oakland manager Bob Melvin said of McHugh. "Then coming back later in the game he mixed in his curveball better and his change-up. He really did keep us off balance." The right-hander, who Houston claimed off waivers from Colorado during the off-season, got out of trouble in the first after loading the bases with two outs with a walk to Callaspo by getting Josh Reddick to pop out to end the inning. Jose Altuve had two hits, including a two-run home run in the seventh, and Jonathan Villar also had two hits, including a two-run triple. Tommy Milone (0-2) allowed four runs on five hits with two strikeouts in 6 2-3 innings. The left-hander was just effective for most of the day, retiring 12 out of 13, including nine in a row, but he ran into trouble in the seventh. Villar extended the lead to 3-0 with a two-out, two-run triple to the left centerfield gap in the seventh, scoring Matt Dominguez and Carlos Corporan and ending Milones day. Altuve greeted Dan Otero with a two-run home run to the Crawford Boxes in left to up the lead to 5-0. Dexter Fowler gave the Astros a 1-0 lead in the third with a groundout scoring Villar, who had doubled with one out and reached third on an Altuve single. NOTES: Oakland outfielder Yoenis Cespedes was out of the lineup for the third straight game with a strained left hamstring. Cespedes left in the seventh inning of Oaklands 10-1 win over Houston on Thursday after legging out an infield single. ... Feldman, who has been on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to April 18 with right bicep tendinitis, threw Saturday and was fine and was on track to make his next scheduled start, manager Bo Porter said, adding that could be either May 3 or May 4. Feldman is eligible to come off the DL May 3. Quincy Promes Jersey . After Mondays comments by Coach Claude Noel that its work first and skill second, and that more “A” games are needed, the Jets responded with a 47-shot effort. If not for terrific goaltending by Braden Holtby the Jets would have had two points in regulation. Klaas-Jan Huntelaar Jersey . - Maxence Parrot of Bromont, Que.BUFFALO, N.Y. -- With Jim Calhoun watching from the stands, Shabazz Napier capped Connecticut coach Kevin Ollies first NCAA tournament appearance with a win. Shaking off a 23-foot miss at the second-half buzzer, Napier scored nine of his 24 points in overtime to lead seventh-seeded UConn (27-8) to an 89-81 win over 10th-seeded Saint Josephs (24-10) in the second round of the NCAA tournament on Thursday night. DeAndre Daniels scored 18 while freshman centre Amida Brimah forced overtime by completing a three-point play in the final minute. It was a big victory for Ollie, who took over two years ago after Calhoun was forced to step down because of health issues. After the Huskies won three national titles in 26 seasons under Calhoun, Ollie became the first UConn coach to lead the program to a tournament berth since Dom Perno in 1979. And it came a year after Connecticut was barred from post-season play because of academic sanctions. Langston Galloway scored 25 points for Saint Josephs (24-10). The Hawks wore down because of a lack of depth, and then lost their top forward Halil Kanacevic, who fouled out early into overtime. The Huskies advance to play Saturday, when theyll face the winner of an East Region game between No. 2 seed Villanova and No. 15 Milwaukee. With the game tied at 70 entering overtime, Daniels opened the scoring by completed a three-point play with 3:47 left during a 5-minute period the Huskies never trailed. Napier then scored seven straight points -- five of them coming from the line -- to put the Huskies up 82-74 with 55 seconds remaining. The game turned in the final minute of regulation and after Hawks guard Chris Wilson hit two free throws to put Saint Joes up 70-67 with 49. Jetro Willems Jersey. .2 seconds left. Napier missed on a drive at the other end, but Brimah got the rebound to the left of the basket, and was fouled while putting it back. He tied the game by hitting the free throw. Taking over with 39 seconds left, the Hawks never got a shot off on what became their final possession of regulation. Galloway twice lost the ball on the dribble, but got it back both times, before launching a desperation shot that hit off the side of the backboard as the shot clock expired. With 2.7 seconds left, the Huskies made two nifty passes to get the ball to Napier on the fly, who pulled up just before the 3-point line and had his shot hit off the rim. Losing Kanacevic was a costly blow for the Hawks, who have little depth beyond their starting five. Kanacevic finished with 12 points and seven rebounds. Freshman DeAndre Bembry scored 16 points for a Hawks team that won the Atlantic 10 tournament title last weekend. After hitting 13 of their first 20 baskets, the Hawks offence cooled. Saint Joes went 10 of 22 in the second half, and finished the game going 27 of 54. The Huskies were coming off a 71-61 loss to Louisville in the American Athletic Conference title game on Saturday. Theyve now won 10 of their past three, with two of those losses coming against Louisville. The opening nine minutes of the game featured eight lead changes before the Hawks eventually broke the game open by building a 37-27 lead with 3:09 left, when DeAndre Bembry hit two free throws. The Hawks hit 13 of their first 20 attempts and were up 40-32 before UConns Ryan Boatright hit a 3-point basket with 8 seconds left. Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

TORONTO - The Toronto Maple Leafs may juggle their lines this week even though they have opened the regular season with three straight victories. Josh Hill Jersey . Coach Randy Carlyle made some changes at practice Monday as the team prepares for three games against Western Conference opponents. He went back to what worked in Saturdays 5-4 shootout victory over the Ottawa Senators and made a few other tweaks to his lineup. Joffrey Lupul, Dave Bolland and Mason Raymond practised together and are expected to play on a line Tuesday against the Colorado Avalanche. The line was put together midway through the Ottawa game. Nazem Kadri will likely play on the third line with Jay McClement and Troy Bodie. Also Monday, the Leafs recalled forwards Trevor Smith and Jamie Devane from the AHLs Toronto Marlies. Devane made his NHL debut Saturday, while Smith — the Marlies captain — had three goals and two assists over two AHL games over the weekend. Smith centred the fourth line of Carter Ashton and Colton Orr in practice. Carlyle said Jonathan Berniers perfect relief outing "makes it easier" when deciding who to start in goal moving forward, making it likely that Bernier gets the nod over James Reimer on Tuesday. The Leafs arent expected to make any changes to the defensive pairings they used against Ottawa. Andrus Peat Jersey . Saltalamacchia drove in the go-ahead run in the ninth inning, Henderson Alvarez won for the first time in three starts and the Miami Marlins beat the Braves 3-2 on Thursday night. Nate Stupar Jersey . -- Quarterback Josh Johnson has returned to the San Francisco 49ers and his former college coach, Jim Harbaugh. SOCHI, Russia -- Canada has won silver in the womens 3,000-metre relay short-track speed skating event at the Sochi Olympics. South Korea won gold in four minutes 9.498 seconds. China came in second but was disqualified because their skaters did not immediately leave the track after passing off to their teammates. That bumped the Canadian team of Marie-Eve Drolet, Jessica Hewitt, Valerie Maltais and Marianne SSt-Gelais up from third place. Tommylee Lewis Jersey. Canadas final time was 4:10.641. The disqualification was a role reversal from the 2010 Vancouver Games, when South Korea was disqualified for impeding and China was promoted to the gold medal. Italy finished well back of the top three teams after one of its skaters fell, but earned a bronze medal after Chinas penalty. The Italians finished in 4:14.014. Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys ChinaCheap Jerseys From China Cheap NFL Jerseys Authentic Wholesale Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys China NFL Cheap Jerseys ' ' '
